The company has secured funding of approximately Kes 130 million from The World Bank under the performance based financing framework. The project will entail development of water supply networks and storage facilities in Thindigua (23 kilometers) and Kiamumbi (33 kilometers).

Athi Water Services Board has proposed the Ruiru II water project projected to deliver 15,000 cubic meters of water to Kiambu daily.
